The Youth Ministry of FBC, is dedicated to preparing today's youth to be tomorrows productive Christian adults. This is accomplished through quality Bible studies, fun events, and opportunities of personal growth for each teen. Mission Work & Worship: June 29-July 2
Mission TC is a new area of ministry for completed 6th Grade through Adults! We will be working on homes in The Colony from Monday-Thursday. The cost will be $60 a person to cover the evening meal, t-shirt, and other miscellaneous things. There will be opportunity for home and community groups to help provide lunch to each of the teams working. There will be a time of worship and message each night. Youth will have an opportunity to meet for a small group time after the service. Everyone will go home each night to sleep, wake up and eat breakfast at home and then return the next morning for a gathering before going out to work again. There will be opportunities to prayer walk, knock on doors to pray for others in the community and also share the gospel.
We meet for LIFE every Wednesday night from 7-8:15pm upstairs in The Harbor. We have a time of worship and message. This is for completed 6th-12 grade.
LIFE Points begin again in September. At that time points are given for attendance, inviting your friends, bringing non-perishable food items, participating in the games, winning the games, and learning Bible verses. The top 15-20 youth with the highest points with 84% attendance will receive a LIFE Reward which could mean a monetary discount for DNow, Youth Camp, or the World Changers Mission Trip. Amounts may vary and is dependent on the budget.
Life Is For Everyone, is a fun and upbeat service where youth can invite their friends to hear the life-saving message of Jesus Christ. Taking advantage of teams, games and youthful enthusiasm, the adults of this ministry present the Gospel and apply it to each teenager's real life.
Pier 7: Sunday Nights
This is special youth discipleship Bible Studies on Sunday evenings from September to mid November and then again from January to mid April. Youth learn the practical side of their faith in the homes or at the church of caring Christian adults. It is important to be in the main worship service as the Bible Studies are sermon based from the morning preaching. Interested youth should try to commit to the entire semester (Fall/Spring). See John for more information.
The Youth Community Groups are all Coed small groups for those in Middle and High School, generally broken down by grades studying God's Word.
We meet upstairs in The Harbor at 9am for a large group time and then we break up into our classes for Bible Study.
6th & 7th Grades
11th & 12th Grades
On the last Sunday of the month we usually have donuts, milk and juice in The Harbor at 9am.
