Matthew 28:19-20 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,  20 teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” (NASB)

 Unengaged Unreached People Groups (UUPGs)

These people groups do not have any resources to hear about or discover the gospel of Jesus Christ. They have no Bibles in their language, no Jesus film, no missionaries in their area, no one reaching out to or praying for them. Our goal is to adopt these groups below and begin these following steps:

1. Adopt to Pray: Pray for our adopted people groups.

2. Partner to Reach: Come alongside and join the missionaries in the field to work hand in hand to see sustainable, effective churches planted among these people groups.

3. Embrace to Engage:  Working intentionally to see churches planted.

4. Go: Work together to send teams to minister to the people groups.

How you can participate in this Great Commission!

  • Pray— Pray for all who go on mission and the people they are ministering to.
  • Support—Support all who go on mission through gifts to Designated Missions.
  • Go! - Go with others on mission. Be a part of a team going around  our world.

Reaching the Unengaged Unreached People Groups

What is a people group?  It is a group of people who have the same language, culture, history, customs and family/clan identities. For strategic purposes, a people group is the largest group through which the gospel can flow without encountering significant barriers of understanding and acceptance.

What is an Unreached Unengaged People Group? These people groups do not have any resources to hear about or discover the gospel of Jesus Christ. They have no Bibles in their language, no Jesus film, no missionaries in their area, no one reaching out to or praying for them. Our goal is to adopt these groups below and begin these following steps:

1. Adopt to Pray: Pray for our adopted people groups. As we are partnering together to take the Gospel to the ends of the earth, we are engaged in spiritual warfare so prayer is key! Things to pray for right now:

  • Barriers to the Gospel to be broken down
  • God to send more laborers to the field to reach them
  • God to prepare hearts of the peoples to receive Him
  • Any missionaries that may be working among that people group

There are 3 people groups FBC The Colony has felt led to adopt.

IWC will join efforts to minister to people in farming villages near Peja, where one venture is helping them to raise jalapeno peppers to make a living. We will assist with outreach programs such as crafts, games and sports for children, teenagers, and adults. There will also be opportunities to work in the fields with the locals and help with a building project in a village.
